REPRODUCTION
Cheetahs can reproduce year round, but they tend to copulate during the dry season so the cups are born at the beginnig or during the wet season. Cheetahs have more than one mating partner in their life time, but only one per season. A female cheetah reaches her breeding age at about 21-22 months. Males live in groups, usually made out of brothers, but most of the time only one male mates with the selected female in heat. Female cheetahs carry for about 3 months. Cheetah cubs remain hidden for five to six weeks, after that time they follow their mother and share her kills. The cubs leave their mother at an age of 3 months.
